Five simple acu point to relieve stress

Acupressure - Point 1 (PC6)

Point 1 (Nei Guan)
Starting from the wrist, measure the length of three fingers down the forearm. Where the third finger meets the middle of the arms width is where the point is located. Apply firm pressure using the thumb and gently rotated the thumb in a circular motion to massage the point for 2-3 minutes. Doing this to both arms will help to melt anxiety and will also help reduce any nausea present
Acupressure - Point 2 (Union Valley)
Point 2 (Union Valley)
This point is located between the webbing of the index finger and thumb. Apply the index finger and thumb from the opposing hands to either side of the webbing to form a pinch. Apply firm pressure for three minutes whilst taking deep enough breathes to fully inflate the abdomen. Applying pressure to this point will help to relive stress and tension in the body.
Acupressure - Point 3 (Shoulder Well)
Point 3 (Shoulder Well)
This stimulation point is located half way between the point of the shoulder and the base of the neck. Applying pressure with your index finger to this point aids in relieving stress and decreasing tension in the body. According to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this point also helps to free up the flow of Qi throughout the meridian system.
Acupressure - Point 4 (Central Treasury) 2
Point 4 (Central Treasury)
This meridian point is located on the tender tissue two finger widths above where the underneath of the arm meets the chest. Using the tip of the index finger and applying moderate pressure to this point, to either one or both sides simultaneously, will aid with deep breathing and increased blood circulation, and help with the balancing of unstable emotions.
Acupressure - Point 5 (Heavenly Pillar)
Point 5 (Heavenly Pillar)
This point lies one fingers width below the base of the skull, upon the rope-like muscles roughly one half-inch either side of the spine. Web the fingers across the back of the skull and use both thumbs to apply firm pressure to both points. Close the eyes and take long and deep breathes whilst stimulating the point for around 3 minutes to relieve stress. These points also assist in insomnia, a stiff neck, over exhaustion and swollen eyes.

Putting effort to be perfect is causing anxiety

No one is "perfect." Yet many people struggle to be, which can trigger a cascade of anxieties. Perfectionism may be a strong suit or a stumbling block, depending on how it's channeled.
"The core of all perfectionism is the intention to do something well. "If you can keep your eye on intention and desired outcome, adjusting your strategy when needed, you're fine.... But when you can't tolerate making a mistake, when your strategy is to make no mistake, that’s when perfectionism starts veering off in the wrong direction." In its most severe form, perfectionism can leave you unable to complete any task for fear of making a mistake.
To help you prioritize the projects and activities that mean the most to you and keep your personal strategy in line, you can have the following exercise:
What do you find valuable in life? What would you want 50 years of your life to represent? If that seems overwhelming, where do you want to put your energies for the next five years?
Think about your current goals and projects, and assign them priorities. Use the letters "ABCF" to help you decide where you want to excel (A), be above average (B), or be average (C), and what you can let go of (F). For example:
·  A (100% effort): This is reserved for what's most important to you. For example, if your career is most valuable, your goals might be to impress the boss, make sure clients are happy, put out good products at work.
·  B (above average, maybe 80% effort): Perhaps you like playing golf or tennis or want to learn a new language. You enjoy these activities, but have no plans to go pro.
·  C (average effort): Perhaps having a clean home is important, too. But how often does your home need to be cleaned? People aren't coming to see it every day. Could you just clean up on the weekends? Or focus on a few rooms that get the most traffic?
·  F (no effort): Time-consumers that don't advance your values or bring you pleasure — for example, lining up all your hangers or folding all your clothes in a specific way. Do you have any tasks that, upon reflection, don't really matter — you've just done them one way for so long that you're on autopilot? These deserve to be pruned.

Cabbage a miraculous food

Cabbage has a long history of use both as a food and a medicine. It was developed from wild cabbage, a vegetable that was closer in appearance to collards and kale since it was composed of leaves that did not form a he

Miraculous Aluminium foil

Miraculous Aluminium foil as a great pain remover

Aluminum Foil

"Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, whether it is in your back, knee, shoulder or heel or any joint. Pain is something no everyone likes to endure every day. Aluminum foil can be used to alleviate pain. Hundreds of years ago it was one of the best home remedy. Aluminum foil possesses anti-inflammatory effects on the skin and can make pains go away after having been applied for the duration of time.
If you have problems with pain put aluminum foil onto the affected places. After some time, the pain will disappear completely.
Using the foil to treat pain is pretty simple. You should place a piece of foil about the size of the area where the pain is and use plaster to hold it in place. You’ll want to keep it on for 12 hours or overnight while you sleep. After you have done this for about two weeks, you can take a break of about 10 days if you are still experiencing pain you’ll want to repeat the process.
It heals burns
As unusual as it sounds, aluminum foil is one of the best remedies for a minor burn. After cooling the burn, wrap it in aluminum foil and leave it wrapped for several hours. This treatment functions in a number of ways including keeping the burn cool, protecting it from additional damage, and delivering restorative minerals as foil contains aluminum and other regenerative minerals.

Aura

Everything in the Universe seems to be just a vibration. Every atom, every part of an atom, every electron, every elementary “particle”, even our thoughts and consciousness are just vibrations. Hence, we may define the Aura as a electro-photonic vibration response of an object to some external excitation (such as an ambient light for example).

Modern New Age metaphysics identify the aura as electromagnetic fields. The existence of electromagnetic fields around every object in the known world is a scientifically proven fact.

Auras vibrate to different color, sound and light frequencies. The color spectrum varies with one’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual states. Auras are in a constant state of flux. When I do a psychic reading with someone, I always check their aura first. If the aura sways back and forth, the person has a chemical imbalance, due to drugs, medication, drinking, a chemical imbalance in the body.

Aura around living  objects (people, plants ...) changes with time, sometimes very quickly. Aura around non-living object (stones, crystals, water...) is essentially fixed. The most important property of the Aura is, it reflects the complete property of the object. So it can be used for maintaining complete health.

Slip disc recovery the natural way - at Total Physio Care

Who says slip disc cant be cured without surgery

This is from a mail sent to me from a patient Dinesh Basankar, narrating his experience at Total Physio Care.

'Cure is sure if faith is pure'. A quotation greets you in "Total Physio Care".  I had major Spinal disc herniation. Slip disc, which had already reached a stage where both of my legs were totally numb, almost paralytic, below waist. I consulted couple of orthopedic surgeons. The surgeons were pretty sure that only thing which could save me is to undergo an immediate surgery. And save me in true sense, because as one surgeon said, "if you don’t go for surgery immediately then you will lose your legs, and the next stage would be losing control over organs below waist. You are sitting on ticking time-bomb. More you delay your decision to go for surgery worse would it be, rather unrepairable would it be!"

I had already started treatment from Dr. Jha but after consulting surgeons I had sleepless nights. Everyone was ensuring that I would get alright after surgery but no one was promising me that I would be 100% back to normal. To me normal meant able to run marathons. No one was ensuring that bulge will go back to its normal place and I could run as usual. I had to choose between surgery, so called a certain treatment, and alternate medicine, not known to many. I kept thinking of the quote many times. And today I am glad that I chose not to go for any surgery. I had a faith in a wonder called, Dr. Jha.

During my daily routine of jogging on synthetic track, I got injured in my back. I was certain that it was not the cause of the problem but a trigger. I managed the back pain for two weeks with various self-known methods but it got aggravated, suddenly, on March 11th. That morning I started getting unbearable pains from hip through back of thighs to calves and toes. Very soon I lost sensation and then strength in both of legs. Since I had undergone treatment from Dr. Jha three years ago for a minor back pain as a natural choice I visited him this time. With his treatment my pain started reducing. I had no choice but to have bed-rest since my condition was not allowing to move. While lying on bed for whole day and night thought of consulting to orthopedic doctor started crossing my mind. As anybody would guess I was asked to get an MRI. My MRI was very very threatening. In this MRI taken in March one can see bulge in the disc hitting nerves. As per reports "large sized, road based posterocentral and right paracentral disc extrusion (inferior migration) is noted at L4-L5 level causing moderate spinal canal stenosis and compression of the thecal sac…."

MRI on March 20

MRI on June 16

I was getting treatment from Dr. Jha every morning, six days a week. Within two-three weeks my left leg stated getting sensation back. The right leg was still taking some time to recover. I was still having bed rest but was able to move around at home with difficulty. In next one month I was able to walk very slowly on my own. The treatment was taking longer time than I expected. Many times worst thoughts crossed my mind but Dr. Jha was always showing me hopes and giving me strengths to fight. My wife was taking care of me like a small child, and giving me mental and physical support. She was giving me massage two-three times a day with ointment and as per process suggested by doctor. In four months I was able to walk slowly, start driving car for short distances and going to office regularly. Dr. Jha suggested me to reduce visits from daily to alternate days, and after a month or so, he reduced it once a week. I was getting better day by day. Curiosity started growing to know if bulge in the disc was recovered and I wanted to verify it by getting another MRI done. Dr. Jha was suggesting me to hold on for some time or not spend money on this since he was sure about the cure.

June 16. I was getting into MRI instrument with mix of emotions. On one hand I was believing Dr. Jha and his treatment of Alternate Medicine, and on other hand I was still wondering how much of the bulge would have recovered, how long it might take to totally recover it and how soon I could run! After the test when I was getting off the table radiologist came to me, in amusement, asking where I was undergoing treatment. He showed me MRI which in his own words was "magic". I was so happy and emotional to see MRI - there was no sign of any bulging!

I used words like magic or wonder while referring to Dr. Jha. But by no means have I wanted to undermine the science behind his treatment. What brought me to this stage is his immense knowledge in this field, his dedication to make others happy and his positive attitude to make yourself believe in you. Along with that, my wife's support kept me going. She was the one who took great care of me and was encouraging me exercise regularly, accompany me for walk every day and push me into swimming pool every weekend!

It's a great day for me as I could run for a kilometer this morning. One step closer towards my next marathon!

Dr. Jha, is saviour for my life. He is not only recovering me and many more people but also showing us path to live a happy and healthy life. I am indebted to him and his service to society.

Strengthen relationships for longer, healthier life

Each January, most of us make a list of New Year’s resolutions — maybe we want to strengthen our bodies, or our resolve to eat better, or the determination to quit smoking. As it turns out, strengthening your social relationships may be an effort worth adding to your list of New Year’s resolutions — for the good of your health.

Social connections like these not only give us pleasure, they also influence our long-term health in ways every bit as powerful as adequate sleep, a good diet, and not smoking. Dozens of studies have shown that people who have satisfying relationships with family, friends, and their community are happier, have fewer health problems, and live longer.

Conversely, a relative lack of social ties is associated with depression and later-life cognitive decline, as well as with increased mortality. One study, which examined data from more than 309,000 people, found that lack of strong relationships increased the risk of premature death from all causes by 50% — an effect on mortality risk roughly comparable to smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day, and greater than obesity and physical inactivity.

What makes social connections healthful

Scientists are investigating the biological and behavioral factors that account for the health benefits of connecting with others. For example, they’ve found that it helps relieve harmful levels of stress, which can adversely affect coronary arteries, gut function, insulin regulation, and the immune system. Another line of research suggests that caring behaviors trigger the release of stress-reducing hormones.

Research has also identified a range of activities that qualify as social support, from offers of help or advice to expressions of affection. In addition, evidence suggests that the life-enhancing effects of social support extend to giver as well as to receiver.

All of this is encouraging news because caring involvement with others may be one of the easiest health strategies to access. It’s inexpensive, it requires no special equipment or regimen, and we can engage in it in many ways.

What counts

The quality of our relationships matters. For example, one study found that midlife women who were in highly satisfying marriages and marital-type relationships had a lower risk for cardiovascular disease compared with those in less satisfying marriages. Other studies have linked disappointing or negative interactions with family and friends with poorer health. One intriguing line of research has found signs of reduced immunity in couples during especially hostile marital spats.

Having a network of important relationships can also make a difference. A large Swedish study of people ages 75 and over concluded that dementia risk was lowest in those with a variety of satisfying contacts with friends and relatives.

Strengthening ties

For many of us, the recent holidays meant family gatherings, getting together with friends, and participating in special religious, community, and workplace activities. Such occasions are an opportunity to check in with each other, exchange ideas, and perhaps lend a supportive ear or shoulder. Now is a good time to strengthen your ties throughout the years to come. Here are some ways to start:

· Focus on your most meaningful relationships.

· Choose activities to do together that are most likely to bring joy to you and the people you care about.

· Delegate or discard tasks that eat into your time, or do them together with family or friends.
